Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Group

Emotion Regulation

This 4-week emotion regulation group will help young people increase their self-awareness by learning to identify and label their emotions. In the process, they will learn to manage anxiety and stress more effectively, and to better understand how emotions, thoughts, and behaviours are connected. Participants learn strategies so they can respond and manage their emotions better.

Why equine assisted psychotherapy?

Horses are amazing teachers. They require us to bring our best selves forward. They are highly intuitive and teach us how to balance our emotions. They keep us present because they truly exist in the moment. Equine-assisted therapy can provide more meaningful mental health gains than traditional talk therapy alone.
